THE WORLD IS LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO DO SOMETHING, NOT TO EXPLAIN WHY HE DID NOT.
"The world is looking for somebody to do something, not explain why he did not."
These words, uttered by none other than Deepac Braxx reveal one who has gone through it all. By that, I mean all the constant hardships and hopelessness third world musicians go through without any breakthrough to success. But Deepac Braxx is one of the few exceptions to the rule.

His story has been the most inspiring.
Born on the 3rd March in 1980s in Kisii District western of Nairobi capital, Deepac Braxx was christened Geoffrey Onsongo and joined three other siblings into a humble life in Nyakoe, one with the worst security in Kisii District.
If his problems taught him anything, definitely innovation was one of them.
"Underground shows with a Walkman, a borrowed amplifier and a speaker was how he used to make ends meet.

At school he would spread the word and after school charge students fifty shillings (less than quarter a dollar) per head and he would jam! he got into trouble with the school administration but that was the way he made his pocket money at school."
By the end of his form four, he had composed many songs but had no money to record. It was one of the most disheartening things in his pursuit of his musical dream.
In 2002 while waiting to join college, he finally saved some money over the years to record and managed to make two tracks; Ndizo Hizo & Mwanariadha wewe but they were of very low quality. They therefore did not receive any credit or attention.

That didn't faze him. He increased his intensity of odd jobs like washing cars, painting walls and hawking landscape paintings.
Then he tried his luck again in 2005, and recorded 'We tulia', this didn't do well either. By then he was in his first year in Nairobi Aviation College. he did videoshooting during his free time. He also did painting, while he still photography for Isaken Media Centre Int'l.
"I wasn't afraid of my friends disrespecting me because they understood my situation. Besides I am not after giving a false impression of myself so I could go work and perform at occasions like jam sessions and Karaoke in nightspots around the city."
Then finally, the chance to record again came and Deepac Braxx managed to record his song "Ni rah tu" featuring Phera Wekesa his Collegemate, a love story of a boy who was chassing a saved girl..
" He had to do it within thirty minutes because he was in through backdoor connections. And when thirty minutes was up he was kicked out. I thank those guys." This song later became a hit and played on radio and nightclubs around the country. Finally Deepac Braxx got room to breathe.

" He loves the hip hop/rap style because he feels, that's the best way he can express himself. And also it is the best medium to communicate content and message. It is because he has something to say and that's the best medium for it. It is music for his people, the poor where he comes from. Artists like 2pac Shakur, Noyorous B.I.G., Nas, Dmx, Lost Boyz and Nauty by Nature are the major inspirations for his music.
He is a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Jounalism from Prestigious University, one of the biggest University in U.K.

Deepac Braxx in new in Afrofusion sound
Many know him as the "hip hop" messiah because of his ability to write his lyrics and spit without disappointing, he has earned himself a permanent mark as Kenya's best hip hop artiste or kisii's finest.
After his first album "Sauti ya Ghetto" which was done in the pure hip hop style, Deepac Braxx is done it again, though this time not the hip hop style that you are used to, but afrofusion.
He discribes himself as a versatile artiste who is cabale of doing much in the world of art, and this is just part of what he can do. The vital reason why he chose to venture into afrofusion is that he doesent want his afrofusion fans to feel neglected.
Apart from that he is out to proof hois critics wrong that despite loving to do hip hop he is a talented singer as well. This can be proofed from his latest single "Nasabire Onyegene" sung in his native kisii Language.
Though he is not keen on talking about an album he says there are more surprises in store for his fans, just watch this space least you are caught unaware.
The single was produced by Uganda's Capital recordz is amazing, dancable and earfriendly. No doubt the likes of Uganda's big acts will get a run for their share this time not from their fellow Ugandans but Kenyan.

" Dunia yako & Naona nazeeka sasa" are tracks from the album "Sauti ya ghetto" causing hell in Cmb Prezzo,s world.
In this two tracks Deepac Braxx appreciates that Cmb Prezzo is not talented but out to waste his parents hard earned resources in the music industry.
To add pain to an injury he is very clear on the same by telling prezzo "unatumia pesa kulazimisha talent kutokea ili hali sisi tunatumia talent kuingisha doo."
that seems not to have been enough from Deepac Braxx who confessed to have slept with his wife.
Listen to the two tracks and make judgement by yourself.
